Teaching Methods...

There's a mixture. In the end all students will be taken through the DVSA's National Standard for Driving Cars and Light Vans. It's a syllabus of topics covering the basic knowledge required for people to drive on the UK's roads with regard to their own safety and others.

Student record books are used to assist them in keeping track of their progress and balance of hours if bulk buying.

Everyone is given the chance to choose their own topics and encouraged to find the answers for themselves. Every person is different and everyone learns differently too. Instructor and leaner should work together to discover which methods work best. This is called "Client-centred Learning"

Visual training aids used are in the form of photographs, diagrams and a dash-cam that records the view in front of the vehicle and can be rewound back to review the footage for discussion.

The traditional method of talk-through still works but is not for everybody. Coaching has been proven to be a more effective teaching method. Schools do it!

No Student will ever be made to do what they are not ready or feel they are not ready for.

The Tuition Vehicle...

The tuition vehicle used is a BMW 1-Series M-Sport . Fully fitted with dual-controls and additional wing mirrors and air conditioning for those hot days. Diesel with a manual gearbox. For automatic lessons, the pupil will have to have their own vehicle for lessons.
